Our 009 layout progresses in fits and starts as time
is available, we would love a few more narrow guage modellers to come and
help.
Set somewhere in the Scottish Highlands or Islands,
the narrow gauge railway serves a small port, with a precarious branch along
the cliffs to a mine.
Progress report July 2009
Martin and Dave have made progress with the cliffs above (and below the branch).
Photo 1: The cliffs have had a base coat of colour, followed by several washes
of paint to tone it down.
Photo 2&3: The mineral branch is perched very precariously along a narrow
ledge above the sea!
Photo 4: From left to right, two sidings in the worked out quarry, the main
line (to fiddle yard) and at slightly higher level, the branch.
